This proyect content is free and it is trainning material of our                Softimage XSI programming courses.

 

         

          

Even though in our school we just use Softimage and AVID products the concepts and materials provided
in this proyect can be used in any other 2D animation software, postproduction or 3D Software that has scripting.

In this case we have used Expressions and Command Scripts so you can compare workflow, complexity & efectivity among them.

We have not used the Softimage XSI Object Model Programming because Expressions & Scripts are easier to understand to people that has never programmed.

Out Programming courses at the Sintesys School contains Object Model Programming, a faster and more efective way to program but more arduous to prepare and manage for really scecific instructions.

                                       Each of the 101 examples of this database contains:

1.- For each situation there is one programmed scene by expressions and another programmmed scene by Scripts. This way you can compare scripts vs expressions.

The difficulty of the programmed scenes is in the Netview icon: Green means Easy - Yellow means Advanced - Red menas hard to understand.

Instead of using cubes & spheres we have prepared XSI scenes with different creatures so it gets more pleasant to work with.

The scenes contained in this proyect are not the final Art of what our students do.

2.- Each scene also contains a description that explains what is the script or the expression for.

3.- Each scene also contains what we call "Generic Programming" that helps to understand the code so it can be used in any other 2D software, postproduction or 3D software.
